Google AnalyticsWhen I first started out online, I used StatCounter. It was free and worked for me in the beginning. The more traffic my sites started to generate, the more options and control I wanted over my site statistics. I came across Google Analytics in a Google search…imagine that! Google Analytics is FREE, easy to setup, and you can manage several website within one account. One of my favorite features is the Site Overlay. This allows you to view where your visitors are clicking on your site. It’s a great way to get an idea of how your site is used and what areas are working the best.

I recommend that every WAHM gives Google Analytics a try. All the features might seem overwhelming at first, but the more and more you learn about it, the more you’ll love it!

I ran across this wonderful source for printer labels a few years ago while working for a software company. They needed a round label for their software packages and Worldlabel.com was the perfect source. Worldlabel.com has over 40 different label sizes, which are available in 18 different materials. You’d be hard pressed not to find the label you’re looking for! One of their greatest products are the weatherproof labels - available for both inkjet and laser printers. The weatheproof labels work wonderful for WAHMs who sell lotions, wool wash, shampoo and any other product where water will be a factor.

White Weatherproof (Inkjet Only) - Our white weatherproof label sheet for inkjet printing is 50 lb. bright white vinyl face sheet with a 50 lb. liner. The material is waterproof and the ink from a standard inkjet printer will encapsulate upon printing. Once the sheet has been printed it will not smear when touched with a wet hand or soaked in water. The adhesive is a high quality permanent adhesive. Excellent results with most types of inkjet printers.”

They also come in a wide array of colors - even silver or gold foil! They offer free templates for their labels, just download and design away (OpenOffice.org Templates available!).

Open Office Most WAHMs are on a tight budget when starting out, but this doesn’t mean you can’t get a great word processing suite. If you’re not willing (or able) to fork out the $324.99 for Microsoft Office Standard 2007, then you’re in luck! There is a great open-source, FREE program suite available for you - OpenOffice.org 2.2!

Here is a review by CNET.com:

“An increasingly credible rival to MS Office, OpenOffice.org includes powerful applications for making text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, diagrams, and databases, as well as HTML and XML documents. Not only does it let you edit basic documents, such as letters and faxes, it also handles complex and multipart documents with bibliographies, reference tables, and indexes.”

Download it and give it a try! Hopefully it will help you manage your business tasks a little easier. Feel free to leave a comment about how OpenOffice has, or hasn’t, worked for you.

As a WAHM you know the importance of quality image editing. Good pictures can really help boost sales and bad pictures, well, not so much! I have checked out the following editing services and find them all to be easy to use. These are a great resource for those not wanting to download a program. Be sure to check them out!
